ALLAN GEORGE KOCISKO, age 79, of Broadview Heights, OH passed away July 30, 2022, after a valiant battle with cancer.

Allan was born on July 25, 1943, to Frank and Dorothy in Cleveland, OH.  After graduating from Garfield Heights High School in 1961 Allan joined the US Air Force, serving four years as an Airman Second Class.  After the Air Force he joined Ohio Bell (now AT&T) as a cable splicer, starting a 34-year career that ended in work in fiber optics.

After retiring in 1998, Allan spent his time as the president of the Sawdust Woodworking Club, fishing in Ohio and Florida, and helping friends and neighbors.  He was always willing to lend a hand and will be remembered for his generous and kind support of his community.  Allan was a devoted member of St. Basil the Great Church in Brecksville, OH where he belonged to the Resurrection Choir and SAC.  He was also a member of Church of the Ascension in Fort Myers Beach, FL where he belonged to the Knights of Columbus.

Allan is survived by his wife of 53 years, Shirley (nee Sikora); their sons David (Maureen), Matthew (Vicki), and Philip; his grandchildren Jonah, Adam, Daniel, Andrew, Jake, and Caitlyn; his sister Carrie Dye; and a large extended family.

Family suggests contributions to St. Basil the Great Church Liturgical Tribute Fund .
