Barbara A
Mareda
January 15, 1938 – December 16, 2022
BARBARA A. MAREDA, (nee Fuerst), age 84. Beloved wife of the late Robert; loving mother of Deborah Weist (James), Patricia Mareda (Robert Beckman), and Robert Mareda (Robin Cogar); cherished grandmother of James Weist (Ashley), Sarah James (Blayne), Robert Mareda, Rebecca Treiber (Brad), William Mareda (Sidney), Josh Gerrick (Brittney), Jacob Beckman (Ashton), and Zachary Beckman (Zoe); dear great-grandmother of Layla, Zayne, Brantley, Raylan, Shayne, and Evelyn.
Barb was a lifelong Cleveland area resident. She was a graduate of Maple Heights High School where she developed meaningful friendships that she maintained throughout all the stages of her life. Strong bonds were formed on Greendale Avenue where she raised her children. Most important in her life were relationships with her family and friends. She was married for forty-three years. She nurtured and was generous to her children, grandchildren and great grands. Following the death of her husband, Bob, she was active with exercise groups, book clubs, church groups, and "the Happy Wanderers" which enabled her to meet new friends and engage with her larger community. She laughed easily. She was blessed with the gift of gab, not gossip. This gift got her through months of the pandemic when she was unable to see those she loved. She will be remembered for her kind, loving, and generous spirit. She was "Faithful" and Independent. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.
