CAROLE J. DEAN was born December 17, 1931, in Buffalo, New York, and died at home in Aurora, Ohio, surrounded by loved ones on May 23, 2024. Carole was continually astonished that she lived into her 90's, which was longer than any other member of her family.

She grew up very close with her mother, Jeanette Zacharias Christ, her beloved older brother, George Christ, and her dearest best friend and cousin, Suzzane Zacharias, all of whom preceded her in death.

Carole married the love of her life, Edward Dean, March 15, 1951, and they enjoyed 63 years of marriage until Eddy's death in 2014. They raised three children, Michael, Sue, and Bob, and they eventually moved to Ohio. After retiring from the Martin-Brower Company, Carole was an extremely dedicated volunteer for the St. Thomas Hospital Women's Board. Carole worked hard at everything she did, put her whole heart into her family, and took great pride in all of them. Carole loved and doted on her children: Michael Dean (deceased 1982), Sue (John) Drsek, Robert (Sally) Dean, her five grandchildren, Jennifer (Bryan) Vaughn, Robert (Christina) Drsek, John (Kali) Drsek, Abigail Dean, and Ryan Dean, and her six precious great-grandchildren. Carole cherished her friendship and nightly phone conversations with her dear friend, Tom Balkin.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 31, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 342 S. Chillicothe Rd, Aurora, OH 44202. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 30, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.
