Daniel Longmire was born April 19, 1945, to parents Booker T. Longmire and Daisy McCarthy in War, West Virginia.
He graduated from Case Western Reserve University, specializing in curriculum to become a Skilled Journeyman. With a strong work ethic, he maintained a successful career at LTV Steel for 22 years, and 24 years at General Motors. He enjoyed his work and was very dedicated to his trade.
Danny (as we loving refer to him), was a very spiritual man, and he and his family praised Jehovah until his last breath. He leaves behind, his 2 children: Darius Longmire and Daria (Jeff) Turner who are his blessings from Betty Young (Longmire).
He also leaves his wonderful wife, Passion, who has been by his side for nearly 12 years. They together nurtured 4 children: Naimah, Thomas, Quinton, and Arianna, whom loved and appreciated him very much.
Danny, has a host of relatives that will miss him dearly, among them: His brother Phillip Longmire (Sons Brian and Phillip), sister Margie Dixon (son Leslie R. Dixon), and grand-daughter from Daria, Gia Brown (great-grandson Ishmael).
He also has several grand-children with his extended family (Passion) whom he loved, and whom loved him and lovingly referred to him as, their "Papa".
There are several great nieces and nephews, as well as great-great nieces and nephews that will always be in his thoughts.
We appreciate the love and support that was shown to Danny as he courageously faced his health issues with strength and dignity.
