It is with heavy but loving hearts that we announce the passing of David Joseph Szymczyk who left this world peacefully on March 27, 2025, at the age of 71. Son of Henry and Jean Szymczyk (deceased), brother of Sandra (Gary). Beloved son-in-law of Carol and the late Boots Ranaldi, brother-in-law of John Ranaldi. Born on February 10. 1954, in Garfield Heights, Dave was a straightforward and sarcastic individual, loyal to a fault who would never miss a cold beer or a warm steak. Dave was a devoted husband to Toni, his wife of 42 years, and a loving father to his three sons: Matthew (Bridget), Joseph (Rachel), and Christopher (Lauren). World's greatest Boo-Boo to Mackenzie, Henry, Jack, Annalise, and Max. He was a highly skilled CNC service engineer and electrical guru. He took great pride in his work and left an enduring legacy of excellent customer service throughout northeast Ohio. Though he was a hard worker he always enjoyed the annual family vacation at the beach. He never missed a practice or a game for his sons and grandchildren. He was a bane to all CYO refs in northeastern Ohio. Dave was also an avid baseball and basketball fan, as well as a typically frustrated Browns' fan. He always loved a clean car, fast driving, and cruise control. Though his passing will ever leave a hole in our hearts, his love and devotion for his family will continue to inspire us.
