FRANCES SOBOLEWSKI
, (née Wojtowicz), April 1, 1946 - June 28, 2024
Born in Trenton, New Jersey, moved to Cleveland, Ohio as a young child. Raised her family in Garfield Heights where everyone knew their house and enjoyed her last years in Munroe Falls, Ohio.
Loving sister of Elizabeth Wojtowicz. Loving wife of Robert Sobolewski; who passed on long before her, and certainly met her in heaven along with her grandson Tyler Shaffer. Loving mother to Timothy Sobolewski and Karen (née Sobolewski) Gruszewski (Daniel). Devoted grandmother; better known simply as "G" to Katelyn Shaffer (Caleb Rieselman), Amanda Shaffer (Kurtis Whittle) and Abigail Duris (Rhonnie Rosa). Adoring great-grandmother; also known simply as "G" to Rylinn Rieselman.
Fran also leaves behind her beloved "four foots"; Jersey and Summer who she loved endlessly, as they brought her so much joy.
Along with loving her family beyond measure, she also loved cooking and gardening and hopes to have passed both of those loves onto her family to keep her around them for years to come. They know what recipes they can't share though. She hopes that her family will plant flowers that she loved, wherever they end up so she can be with them there as well.
Fran passed far too soon but peacefully surrounded by family after showing what strength, determination, grace, honor and courage really are.
The family she leaves behind are heartbroken that she has left them, but they take comfort knowing that she has finally reunited with the love of her life after so many years of missing him and never removing her wedding ring after his passing. She and Bob are once again reunited and probably dancing a polka already or going fishing on the boat with Tyler. She gets to be the best "G" in heaven now too!!
While here; she gave her grandchildren and great granddaughter the sun, the moon and the stars and now will watch over them from just above those stars.
Fran promises that she will be watching over all she loves from above; just look for the signs!!
