GERALD WILLIAM GONDA , age 71, born April 4, 1952, passed away January 13, 2024.  If you are reading this, I guess you probably realize that I am dead. I did not want anyone else to write my obituary because it would contain all the useless nonsense: worked for, educated at, blah, blah, blah. The truth is I worked, attempted to have fun then died. I did not change the world. Sometimes I succeeded, sometimes I failed. I accomplished little that needs to be acknowledged but attempted to do the best I could and if I failed you, I apologize, I assure you I made an honest effort.

I am preceded in death by my parents, Irene (nee Kocak) and William Gonda. I thank them for their patience, it was needed.

I am indebted to all of you who assisted me, laughed with me, helped me enjoy a happy life and offered me your friendship. If in the end you think of me, please do something to make the world a better place: volunteer somewhere, take time to talk to someone or attempt to improve someone's life. In closing, remember it's all about creating stories that are meaningful enough to be retold when surrounded by friends while enjoying a beverage or two.

(corner of Broadview and Sprague Rds.) , where services will be held Friday, January 19, at 9:30 AM and at St. Matthias Church, Sprague Road, at 10:00 AM.  Interment All Saints Cemetery. VISITING HOURS:  THURSDAY 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
