HELEN LOUISE SKLAD, (nee Muniak), age 95, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2019 at Alexander Guest House in Oak Ridge, TN.  Born in Cleveland in 1923 to Joseph and Anna (nee Prozeck) Muniak, she was one of nine children – John, Joseph, Walter, Louis, her twin sister Mary, Chester, Edward, and Stella.  She attended St. John Cantius Catholic School and graduated from Jane Addams High School.  During WW II she worked at Jack & Heinz, Inc. making airplane parts to aid the war effort.  In the 1950's she worked at Sklad's Grocery Store in Cleveland Heights, where among other things she ran the soda fountain, and later worked for the Catholic Cemeteries Assoc. in Cleveland.  Beloved wife of the late Steven; loving mother of Philip (Doris); cherished grandmother of Elizabeth Shoch (David), Christopher, and Steven (Amanda); devoted great-grandmother of Luisa and Alexander Shoch, and Cameron and Samantha Sklad; dear sister of Stella.  Family suggests memorial contributions to St. Mary Parish, 327 Vermont Ave., Oak Ridge, TN 37830 or to the charity of your choice.  Friends may call at LATEK & RYBICKI, A GOLDEN RULE FUNERAL HOME , 4640 TURNEY RD. for VISITING HOURS:  THURSDAY 4-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 6, at St. John Cantius Church, 906 College Ave., Cleveland, at 10:00 AM.  Please meet at church.  Interment Calvary Cemetery.
