John T
Bernosky
October 16, 1941 – November 21, 2021
JOHN T. BERNOSKY, age 80, passed away unexpectedly on November 21st after being diagnosed with small cell carcinoma of the prostate on November 6th. He passed peacefully with his family at his side. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Carol (nee Myers); adored daughters Mary Curtis (Chip), Cindy May (James), and Cathy Roderick (Greg); cherished grandchildren John, Abby, and Jenna Curtis; JT and Charlie May; and Anna and Will Roderick; dear brother Joe (Penny), sister-in-law Shirley (Jim); and many treasured cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Susan (Valko), and brothers Bill Bernard (Nancy), Larry Bernosky (Teresa), and Jim Bernosky.
John was a devoted Cleveland sports fan and enjoyed cheering them on; however, his greatest joy was spending time with his loving family cheering on his daughters and then his grandchildren. Family was everything to John and he was everything to his family.
John's professional career was selling concrete specialty products, but he also always found time to support his family, schools, and community as a volunteer. He led by example as a member of The Lions Club for years and the Brecksville Athletics Boosters where he was a staple wearing his apron selling 50/50 tickets at all the games!
After retirement, he spent winters in Fort Myers, where he and Carol were blessed to become part of an amazing group of friends at Pelican Preserve who shared his positive, fun-loving spirit.
Anyone who knew John was touched by his kindness, sincerity, positivity, and zest for life! He made the world a better place for those around him, and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Though his song may have ended, he will always dance in our hearts.
