Kirsten M
Kasper
July 20, 1989 – April 27, 2021
KIRSTEN KASPER , beloved daughter of James Kasper and Jane McNamara and dear sister of James Kasper, Jr and Hailey Ellis, beloved granddaughter, niece, cousin and cherished friend to many, passed away peacefully after a 2-year heroic battle with adrenal cortical cancer. She spoke her mind and lived with passion and commitment that knew no bounds. She challenged herself and everyone around her to be the absolute best, for no challenge was too great for "KKazzy". To the very end of her life, she was more concerned about the well-being of those she loved than she was about herself. She was a bright light, a breath of fresh air and a source of radiant energy that drew people in like a magnet.
She graduated from Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School (BBHHS) in 2007, completed undergraduate and master of psychology degrees at the University of Dayton in 2013 and took great pride in her professional career. Every employment opportunity focused on serving and helping people which included being a camp counselor in high school, bartending and babysitting in college, interning with homeless youth at Daybreak, and being an addiction social worker at Access Hospital. In 2014, she moved to Chicago, Illinois where she accepted a position as customer support representative at Millennium Health and was awarded Rookie of the Year. Shortly thereafter, she was promoted to territory sales representative and moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana. She missed her beloved city of Chicago and returned in 2016 where she embarked on her most recent employment at Alkermes as a territory business manager (TBM) in Chicago and then Nashville, Tennessee. She considered Alkermes an extension of her family and enjoyed great success including:
*Youngest TBM to ever join Alkermes where she was a staunch patient advocate with a drive and tireless work ethic that propelled her to earn President's Club Award in 2017, her first year of eligibility
*One of 3 women across the organization selected to co-lead the Women's Network Employee Resource Group
*Only TBM in the country selected to participate on the Veteran's Affairs Community Care Task Force
*Member of the Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Committee
There are no words to express how very much Kirsten will be missed. In lieu of flowers, the family strongly suggests donations to be made to charitable causes close to Kirsten's heart including the following:
1) BBHHS Scholarship Fund - mail checks made out to BBHHS referencing Kirsten Kasper to: BBHHS 6380 Mill Rd. Broadview Heights, OH 44147 Attn: Scholarship Fund
