LAVERNE M. HARTLEY (nee Kruse), age 92, passed away peacefully November 12 at Southwest Hospice. Beloved wife of the late Robert Hartley, and the late Stephen Kaselak; loving mother of Stephen R. Kaselak (Elizabeth) and William S. Kaselak (Michelle); cherished grandmother of Stephen G. Kaselak (Jennifer), Kelly Linson (Wayne), Robyn Mediate, Brian Kaselak (Lindsay), Kevin Kaselak (Abigail), Bridget Kaselak, David Kaselak (Debra Burns), Lisa Kaselak (Lee Billington), Jeanette Sangston (Mark), and Nicole Sommers (Eric) and great-grandmother of Kaitlyn, Stephen, Dominic, Kiera, Kylie, Carter, Kolton, Kerrigan, Quentin, Campbell, Austin, Maddison, Ava and Ethan; beloved daughter of Wilbert and Anna Kruse (both deceased); dear sister of Evelyn Kolar (deceased) (Norman – deceased); loving aunt of Judith Morabito, Norman Kolar, Timothy Kolar (deceased) and David Kolar; step-grandmother of Sean Mance.  Born in Cleveland, LaVerne graduated from Notre Dame Academy. She moved to Geauga County in 1965 and worked for various garden nurseries where her long-time love of plants and flowers became her passion. She raised award winning day lilies and enjoyed gardening in her yard. LaVerne also enjoyed needlepoint and created works of art for her children and grandchildren. LaVerne was a long-time member of St. Elizabeth Hungarian Catholic Church. She was a devout caregiver to her mother, Anna, who lived to 102 years of age. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to Thomas P. Perciak Family Residential Hospice, 18659 Drake Rd., Strongsville, 44136.  Private family Celebration of Life was held. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
