Whalen and his caring wife Mary Anne Clancy of Belfast, ME, and Madeline M. Whalen (deceased); loving granny of Jason Whalen (Gina Pearlman) of Pittsburgh, PA, and great-grandma of Kaitlyn Whalen of Texas; cherished daughter of William A. and Edna (nee Moodie) (both deceased); dear sister of the following deceased: Delwin A. Lenarz, Donald W. Lenarz (Mary), Jean Taulbee (formerly Stephens) (William – deceased), and Douglas R. Lenarz; honorary "mother" of Jacqueline Vlasak (Robert – deceased), Dale Stephens (Catherine), and her special caregiver Donna Peculis (Jack – deceased). Dear aunt of Don (deceased) and Dan Lenarz (Claudia), Sharon Hart (David), Bill Lenarz (deceased), Janice Sanderson (David), Erin Scain (deceased), and Gail Sass (deceased), and great-aunt of many.
