Mary Ann
Fetchik
December 5, 1945 – September 24, 2020
MARY ANN FETCHIK, (nee Curtis), age 74, born December 5, 1945 and entered Eternal Life on September 24, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Andrew R. "Drew"; loving mother of Andrew R. III (Julie) and Rebecca Whitney (Dennis); cherished grandmother of Aidan, Drew, Heath, Aubrey, and Riley; dear aunt, cousin, and friend of many. Mary Ann began her career at Marymount Hospital in the emergency room as a secretary and was a devoted employee and loved by all for her pleasant and upbeat personality. She had a love of life and brought joy to everyone who met her. She was nominated by Andy, her son, to carry the Olympic torch as it made its way through Cleveland to Salt Lake City for the Olympic Games in 2002. She was awarded the opportunity because of her valiant fight to overcome cancer. It was one of the proudest moments of her life. Mary Ann adored her family and made it her focus to make them realize her love for them. If there is one legacy Mary Ann left us, it is to treat others with kindness and compassion. She was truly a child of God. Family suggests contributions to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
