MICHAEL PATRICK DELMORE . Son, Brother, Father, Grandfather
Born, raised, and lived in Garfield Heights he grew up with his parents, grandfather and three sisters on Park Heights. Living there also resulted in him making multiple lifelong friendships. He graduated from Garfield Heights High School and worked different occupations until attaining a CDL and driving a tractor trailer for a local trucking company. This allowed for him to support his children's aspirations in sports: whether it was baseball, softball, or football. He often worked to make sure he could get off work in time to be there to support his children's sporting events.
He was a car and motorcycle enthusiast, and it was quite evident with him spending days and nights in his garage fixing and cleaning them all. When he wasn't riding his motorcycle or taking the long way to somewhere to drive a little more, he was always watching any racing he could find on television: Moto GP, NASCAR, or the NHRA. That's of course all second to him trying to get to see racing in person, whether heading up to Watkins Glen or down to Mid-Ohio, National Trail, or Norwalk it was clear he was in his element at those events.
As a true Clevelander, born with orange and brown in his blood, Sunday afternoons after mass were dedicated to Browns football. If he wasn't on the lakefront, he'd be yelling in front of his television as any true Browns fan would after they found a new way to break our hearts again. And if it wasn't fall then the attention shifted to the Tribe through the spring and summer. Going to games at the Jake always brought a smile to his face even through the pain of those mid 90s and 2016 teams.
A lover of music, there wouldn't be a time in his house, garage, or car that a radio wasn't playing. Music was even playing while even watching television. His fondness with the Boss, The Allman Brothers Band, Bob Seger and many others was displayed with these albums being played on repeat on any road-trip.
He has left this earth too soon and will be missed. May his spirit live on in those cherished memories shared with him.
