MICHELE R. WALENDZIK

July 9th, 1953 - February 14th, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Michele R. Walendzik (nee Rapiey) on February 14th, 2025.

Michele was born July 9th, 1953, in Steubenville, Ohio to the late Stanley and Marie Rapiey (nee Seneski).

After living most of her life in Garfield Heights, she later retired to her happy place, Holiday Camplands in Andover, Ohio.

Michele worked for many years as a paraprofessional for Garfield Heights City School District, where she shared her boundless love and joy with students in the elementary level classrooms at Mapleleaf Intermediate School. After retirement, she loved to spend her time reading, crocheting, enjoying peace and quiet on her patio with her husband, and spending time at the beaches of Northeast Ohio with her family.

She tirelessly and lovingly devoted her entire life to her family. She leaves behind her heartbroken husband of 47 years, Casey Walendzik; her children Katie Chikik (Sean), Holly Munshower (Chad) and Steven (Amber). The light of her life, her grandchildren: Henry and Savannah Chikik; Casey and Johanna Munshower, Tyler Delaney; Lucas and Hailey Walendzik, Josephine Justice, and Alyssa Kancler. She is also survived by her beloved brother Stanley Rapiey, sister-in-law Janet Rapiey, and cherished nephew Jeffrey Rapiey (Michelle).

She is preceded in death by her brother Daniel Rapiey, sister-in-law Patricia Rapiey, and nephew Stanley Rapiey.
