ROBERT J. BONUS, age 79. Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Zindroski); loving father of Robert A., Christine A. Vogt (Christopher), Michael A. (Jennifer), Paul A. (Marlinda); cherished grandfather of Ashley and Morgan Vogt, and Lauren, Andrew, Brady, Jacob, and Nathan Bonus; dearest son of Stephen and Helen (both deceased); dear brother-in-law of Jacqualine Mitchell (James) and uncle.
Robert graduated from St. Procop High School in Cleveland, and went on to be a talented draftsman in the auto industry. His working career took him through several other paths in banking and quality throughout the years. Along with providing for his family, Bob was a dedicated cubmaster of Pack 258 at St. Thomas More Church. He enjoyed sharing his skills to coach for many baseball seasons as his boys attended St. Thomas More School, and as the bowling coach for St. Ignatius High School. When he was not planning a scout meeting or coaching he would enjoy golfing and bowling himself. He was proud of his 300 game and multiple holes-in-one on the course. Bob was also a talented singer and performed in several productions as part of the Brooklyn Players and other charity events. Bob enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren in the annual family fishing derby, and attending their every game, meet, match, etc. he could, with his wife. Bob enjoyed travelling with his wife and family, always making our family vacations an important event each year. He especially enjoyed the many cruise vacations he embarked with his wife.
Family suggests contributions to 75 th Anniversary of St. Thomas More Fund , 4170 N. Amber Dr., Brooklyn, 44144. Family and friends are asked to meet at St. Thomas More Church, 4170 N. Amber Dr., Brooklyn, on Wednesday, April 7, for a MEMORIAL GATHERING at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM . Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
