Obituary

ROSE MARIE KIKELI, was born on August 17 th and grew up in the Buckeye Road Hungarian Neighborhood until she married and moved to Garfield Heights.

Rose Marie was the founder and first president of the Garfield Heights Women's Club in 1966 and after 25 years of having the club, she was awarded the Congressional Certificate of Achievement for her personal contributions as an outstanding citizen to the community and the state.

She graduated from John Adams High School, Dyke Business College, and attended Flora Stone Mather College, where she was proud to win a blue ribbon for her horsemanship and played 12 different sports.

She worked in public relations for Ohio Bell and as a legal secretary for Arter & Hadden law firm.  Rose Marie was also a member of Etcetera Club, Garfield Heights Junior Women's League, and Tilla B. Porter Parliamentary Club where she was the first vice president of the club.

She tutored children with intellectual disabilities and volunteered for numerous organizations, such as St. Monica Church Guild and Marymount Hospital Guild.  She also taught Confraternity of Christin Doctrine, sang in the St. Monica Church Choir, and loved to play pinochle.  She had an interest in local politics and women's rights.

Rose Marie was the devoted wife of the late Steve A; beloved mother of Pamela and Steven (Nadine); loving sister of Theodore (deceased); and dear aunt of many.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Monica Church, 13623 Rockside Rd, Garfield Heights, OH 44125. Interment All Saints Cemetery 480 W. Highland Rd, Northfield, OH 44067.
